TJV is one of the most important classic regatta in the world: 5400 miles, from Le Havre to Brasil, running the ancient “coffee route”.
The 20th anniversary, 11th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre, mustered now in Le Havre, once more underlines the status of this durable ocean racing classic as an event not to be missed by serious skippers. The format and appeal has outlasted many other races and with 44 entries across the four classes, it is as popular as ever. Choices made many years ago retain the same draw today — racing as a duo, two handed, every second year, gathering monohulls and mulitihulls for a course which has changed periodically – all together this makes this autumn rendezvous in Le Havre’s Paul Vatine Basin an absolutely essential fixture on the racing calendar.
Andrea Mura has been called by Gilles Lamirè to run together within this regatta: Andrea is the first Italian athlete to receive a call from a French skipper.
Lamirè is a winning skipper as well as Andrea Mura, who gained Route du Rhum in 2010, Quebec Saint Malò in 2012, Twostar in 2012 as well and Ostar in 2013 .
Ubiquity is following Andrea Mura’s participation to Transat Jacques Vabre thus also providing media coverage through video, web, social and press channels.
