During the first nine months of 2014 the market of Mobile Finance in Italy incresed by 34% in terms of volumes with regards to the same period of the last year. From January to September of 2014 the volume of SMS (including free and premium) sent by the panel of monitored Italian banks reached 392,9 million, +34% in comparison to 306,2 million of SMS sent in the same period of 2013 .
This important result in terms of volumes confirms the continous increase in usage of SMSs linked to banking services, especially alerts for plastic card payments (including credit, debit and prepaid) and for bank accounts. SMS remains a valid and efficient mean of communication between bank and final user and an excellent security and anti-fraud tool.
